  • Start Here: Measure Your Dog’s Chest

Use a soft tape measure and wrap it around the widest part of your dog’s chest, just behind the front legs.

Quick Size Guide (Use Chest Measurement for the best fit)

    • 3/8" XXSmall(Mini): 13-16" (approx 6-15 lbs)
    • 5/8" XSmall: 14–20" (approx 15–25 lbs)
    • 5/8" Small: 20–24" (approx 25–35 lbs)
    • 5/8" Medium: 24–28" (approx 30–40 lbs)
    • 1" Medium: 24–28" (approx 40–60 lbs)
    • 1" Large: 28–32" (approx 60–85 lbs)
    • 1" XLarge: 32–36" (approx 85–130 lbs)
    • 1" XXLarge: 36–44" (125+ lbs)

A Quick Note on Weight (Because Everyone Asks 😊)

Those weight ranges? They’re just guidelines. Dogs are built all kinds of ways—deep chests, slim builds, fluff for days—so chest measurement is always the most accurate way to get the right fit. If your dog is between sizes, we recommend choosing the size where their measurement falls comfortably in the middle of the range.

    Fit Tips for Better Walks

    • The chest strap should sit right behind the front legs
    • You should be able to fit two fingers under the straps
    • Snug, not tight—your dog should move freely and comfortably

A good fit = less pulling, more relaxed walks, and a happier dog (and human). If you’re unsure, we’ve got you. There is a chatbox to the right if you are on a computer or you can Contact Us with any questions.

  • The Right Leash Makes This Work Even Better

Your harness does the work, but the right leash helps you communicate more clearly with your dog. Both the Training Leash and Euro Leash can be used as a double-connection leash with the Freedom Harness—connecting to both the front chest ring and back martingale loop at the same time for better guidance and control.

    Training Leash

    Best for dogs still learning
Designed for simple, effective communication during walks and training.

    • Recommended setup for the Freedom Harness
    • Connects to the front and back of the harness at the same time
    • Helps reduce pulling with clearer guidance and feedback
    • Can also be used as a standard single-connection leash

Many customers start here if their dog pulls or they want more control on walks.

    Euro Leash

    Best for everyday flexibility
Includes all the functionality of the Training Leash, plus additional ways to walk and manage your dog comfortably.

    • Can be used as a double-connection leash with the Freedom Harness
    • Detachable handle creates a short traffic leash for close control
    • Can be worn around the waist or over the shoulder for temporary hands-free walking
    • Adjustable configurations from short control to longer relaxed walks

A great option for dogs who already walk fairly well or for owners who want more versatility in how they walk.

    Not Sure?

    • Choose the Training Leash if your dog pulls or is still learning
    • Choose the Euro Leash if you want more flexibility for everyday walking

Many customers use both—one for training and one for more relaxed walks—depending on the situation.

  • How & Why It Works

The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to improve communication between you and your dog—without choking, pinching, or relying on pain. Instead of creating a tug-of-war, the Freedom Harness helps guide your dog’s movement more naturally for calmer, more comfortable walks.

    What Your Dog Feels

The patented martingale loop on the back of the harness tightens gently when your dog pulls, applying soft pressure around the chest—similar to a calming “hug.” The front connection helps redirect your dog’s chest and shoulders back toward you instead of allowing them to lean forward with their full body weight. Because the pressure is distributed across the chest and torso—not the throat—the harness is designed to be both effective and comfortable without choking your dog or restricting movement.

    What You Experience

Traditional back-clip harnesses often create a straight-line pulling match:dog pulls → human pulls backThe Freedom Harness changes those mechanics. Using both the front and back connection points helps distribute pulling force across multiple directions instead of one straight line. That means:

    • less leverage for pulling
    • smoother redirection
    • better communication
    • and less strain on both you and your dog

    Better communication.
    Better walks.

  • You can wash it in the washing machine by placing the harness in a pillow case and using the gentle cycle OR place the harness in a sink filled with cold water and detergent.  Let it soak and rinse it well.  Always air dry your harness.

    Safe & secure

These are amazing harnesses. I have large hound dogs and they are the only harness/leash that I feel comfortable using. Have gotten one (or two, or three depending on how many they’ve chewed) for every dog I’ve had. If my dogs do chew them, 2 Hounds has a great policy for replacement. Fantastic company and product!

    GREAT HARNESS

I love the Freedom Harness. I've been using it with my dog for a couple of years now and it's become my harness of choice for my dog training clients. Pairing it with the Euro Leash is an absolute plus.

The photo is of my personal dog Emma sporting her harness.

Love these and they help your dog from pulling, attach your leash to the front and start walking! Attach a double leash even if needed. I love these!

    Not for aggressive Puller

I had high hopes for this harness after doing some research and reading other reviews. I was disappointed more than happy with these harnesses. I have a 70lb pitbull/staffy and this harness made next to no difference. He gets extremely excited for his walks and even more when he wants to chase a bird/squirrel on our walks. The harness did barely anything to prevent the pulling. I found myself still having to yank him back and telling him to slow down. The leash is a nice concept but terrible on hands. No padding or comfort. Just leash material. I prefer the $20 Amazon harness.

Hi there, it definitely isn't a magic bullet and doesn't stop pulling on its own. We suggest walking in a space with few distractions and have lots of treats on hand. If your dog is pulling, stop walking (don't yank, just plant your feet and stop walking). Wait, if your dog stops pulling and looks back at you, give a treat and praise quickly, then start walking forward again. Repeat.

If you stop and wait and your dog doesn't stop pulling, turn around and walk in the other direction. You might not get very far the first walk, but it won't take long for your dog to get the message and stop pulling.

While you are training, the harness helps you plant your feet and not move by distributing the pulling force across a vector with the double connection leash, so you feel less pulling force than the dog exerts.

It works if you put the time in, a few training sessions are worth a lifetime of walks.
