Dragonflies are fascinating creatures – agile, elegant, and beautiful in flight. They appear on this silk brocade in different sizes and with a variety of markings, all in pale and deep gold, and black. The collar is lined in gold satin to complete the look.It is currently available in other colors as well, perfect for multi-dog households.

  • You can wash it in the washing machine by placing the collar in a pillow case and using the gentle cycle OR place it in a sink filled with cold water and detergent.  Let it soak and rinse it well.  Always air dry your collar.

This is a great special occasions and outings collar!  Since it is made using a brocade fabric, it is more delicate.  If you have a heavy scratcher, we do not recommend using this as an everyday collar.

Choose your hardware!  Pick the look that suits your style — premium solid brass for a classic finish, or silver (nickel-plated brass) for a sleek, modern touch.  

If you select a side-release or buckle martingale style, your collar will feature a moulded black nylon Weinerlock buckle for strength and reliability.  

Heads up: The 2″ collar is available only as a martingale — bigger buckles just don’t make the cut for our comfort or style standards.

    Thin material

    The black silk has clearly been ironed and so there is a light streak on the collar. As a seamstress I know this, it’s when there’s a fold. So it’s not dirt.

    Not great for tiny dogs

    The hardware to attach the leash seems to be the same size regardless of collar size. It looks rather large and goofy on an extra small collar. It was still beautiful for the first three days. If your dog scratches a fair amount I wouldn't recommend this style as ours is already missing about half of the dragonflys.

    Gorgeous!

    The Dragonfly collar is absolutely gorgeous! As with the other collars we’ve purchased from 2 Hounds Design, it’s extremely well made. Our dog Enzo looks very dapper in it.

    "Tag" collar does take a tag

    I bought a 1.5" "tag" collar. Just to clarify, there no way to attach a leash or normal tag to this style of collar- you have to buy, separately, 2hounds special tags that lie flat on the collar, like a name plate. This plate takes up a lot of real estate, I'd recommend a normal collar, it'll display the fabric better.
