I have mixed feeling about these collars. I ordered the "1980's" and the "Fruity Hearts" both in size medium / 1" width for my dogs who have 14" necks and 13" heads. They have worn them daily for a month now. The quality itself is 5 stars - the materials are great, the workmanship is superb, and so far, I'm not seeing any deterioration in the pattern/print but those are the only positives.
There's no secondary d-ring for the tags (that's on me - I missed that) but because the existing d-ring is so big, the tags frequently flip around and get caught on the leash clip. My biggest complaint though, is about the size of the martingale section which is 3". On a 14" collar, that means 20%. This creates a huge loop that does not lay flat and can easily get caught on things (no, they don't wear them in the house but I do let them off-leash). This may not be an issue on the larger size collars or if you're using the medium (14"-18") at the largest size but I wouldn't recommend it if you need to use it at the 14" size.
And let's talk about cost... As a Canadian buyer, I'm used to have to pay more for the exchange rate and shipping so I factored that into my decision. What I wasn't expecting was an import fee of $32. I understand that the fee is determined by the shipping company and not by 2 Hounds but it wouldn't have been too much to ask for a simple message of "Additional import fees may apply" when checking out. When all was said and done, each collar cost me $62…
